Fresh Ginger Margarita

I love margaritas—frozen, on the rocks, flavored, classic, I don’t discriminate. ‘Tis the season for entertaining, and as far as I’m concerned, nothing says party like a tequila treat. And trust us, this refreshing ginger margarita from Grace Atwood at The Stripe is about to become your go-to party cocktail. Get the party started with the mouthwatering recipe below!

From The Stripe…  I’m just going to warn you right now, this might be the best cocktail I’ve ever made. It’s partially because I l-o-v-e anything ginger, but also, it’s just so good. I love that it uses an egg white as it makes for a frothy, speakeasy-style cocktail.

  3. Then, add 2 cups of sugar + 1 cup water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, and allow to simmer.
  4. Add your ginger… muddling it in the syrup as you cook. (Cook for about five minutes.)
  5. Strain out the ginger and allow to cool.
  6. Add tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec, ginger syrup and egg white.
  7. Stir it vigorously to get the egg white nice and frothy.
  8. Serve over ice and enjoy!
