Our SMP family is growing by leaps and bounds these days and with that baby boom comes the cutest little loves and their awesome nurseries too. One of our newest additions is this little munchkin, Nora. Her mom is our beloved editor, Stephanie Weers, and her room? Pure perfection of course. It’s a cozy sanctuary dotted with pink and a little flamingo flair captured by another fave, Ruth Eileen Photography.
When we first found out we were expecting a baby girl, I started dreaming up her nursery. The room we’d bring her home to. The corner we’d read in. The cozy chair where we’d rock her to sleep. It wasn’t just about filling the nursery with things, but instead about creating a space for memories to be made.
I have a “less is more” mentality when it comes to design, so I wanted to keep her space simple, bright and cheery. I got the idea for a flamingo inspired nursery after coming across Rifle Paper Co.’s cute print.
The idea built from there, and soft pink, grey and gold became the palette. Tyler and I handmade the fabric banner above Nora’s crib, and it was a fun project to add a DIY touch.
